Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a process sustenance and development engineer to drive variability reduction, recipe development, and defectivity reduction for high-volume manufacturing. You will help optimize processes and collaborate with internal customers across technologies such as FinFET and Si Photonics.

The role involves sustaining production, daily SPC monitoring, CpK improvement, and systematic problem solving using DOE and lean six sigma in a 24x7 HVM environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of post-baccalaureate engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with SPACE SPC tools, FMEA, DOE, semiconductor equipment, and tool performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Sustain production line and monitor daily SPC; improve CpK and troubleshoot process/tool issues.
• Develop and optimize recipes; reduce process variability and defectivity for high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal customers and multiple teams (equipment, PI, QA) across technologies including FinFET and Si Photonics.
• Drive lean and six sigma initiatives; support throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
