Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an MTS Etch Process Engineer to develop etch processes for new technology offerings and advanced manufacturing in a 200mm HVM foundry environment. The role emphasizes collaboration across product development, process integration and GF fabs to share best practices.

You will design experiments, progress R&D projects, and work with equipment suppliers to evaluate capabilities aligned with GF's technology roadmap, while maintaining strict safety and EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D in electrical / electronic / mechanical / microelectronics / chemical engineering / chemistry / physics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in etch process development.
• Fluency in English (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across product development and process integration to determine and develop etch processes.
• Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a 200mm HVM foundry environment.
• Collaborate with GF fabs to promote sharing and learning across facilities.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers to determine capabilities and options for GF technology roadmap.
• Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking to engage best-in-class practices across fabs.
• Perform activities with safety and EH&S compliance.
