Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment engineer to join a team focused on establishing and maintaining world-class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage. You will identify complex problems and implement solutions.

Responsibilities include supporting troubleshooting with Equipment/Process Technicians, performing tool qualifications, running experiments, trend monitoring, and applying TPM/LEAN concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
• 300mm Dry Etch experience highly desired.
• Familiar with Etch Equipment and TPM concepts.
• Prior Etch process experience in a semiconductor environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with Equipment/Process Technicians and engineers with root-cause analysis and 5S mindset.
• Sustain factory by performing tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock/alarm reduction.
• Run experiments and analyze data to improve capacity, tool-to-tool variation, and defect performance.
• Perform trend monitoring and work with Tool Owners to implement corrective actions.
• Apply TPM concepts and LEAN tools to implement long-term preventive solutions.
• Attend passdown meetings to communicate factory state with respect to the Team's Equipment.
