Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seeks a professional librarian to provide reference and legal research support within the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor.

You will guide staff to legal resources, train colleagues in new library technologies, and help prepare training materials and SharePoint content. The role includes developing instructional materials, assisting with the library budget, and expanding interagency information sharing.

Qualifications

• Graduate study in library science or 5 years of combined education/experience.
• Experience with legal resources, literature, and research methods for law.
• Ability to develop research guides and instructional materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and research support, guiding users to legal resources.
• Advise and train OPLA employees in library technologies and references.
• Draft training and outreach materials for staff.
• Assist in preparing content for publication via SharePoint.
• Assist with maintaining the library budget and budget requests.
• Enhance resource sharing through DHS and agency partnerships.
