Job summary

The Limestone County Board of Education seeks an ITINERANT Registered Behavior Technician to support students’ behavioral goals under BCBA supervision.

187 days position requires an associate degree or higher education, 40 hours of RBT training, and successful completion of the RBT competency assessment and exam. Experience with students is preferred, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of higher education, or successful WorkKeys
• 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
• Pass RBT competency assessment
• Pass RBT exam
• Prior experience working with students preferred
• Able to manage students independently
• Ability to apply behavioral strategies with elementary/high school students
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaboration with BCBA, teachers, students and parents

Responsibilities

• Implement and perform tasks related to behavior under BCBA supervision
• Collect daily behavior data
• Provide direct student care in 1:1 or group settings
• Follow behavior intervention plans to fidelity and follow IEPs
• Assist teachers and staff with implementing behavior intervention plans
• Assist in preparation of student materials
• Participate in professional development activities
• Lead by example with ethical conduct
• Teach social skills and replacement behaviors
• Provide sensory or behavioral breaks as needed
• Maintain confidentiality per IDEA and Section 504
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors
