Inframark is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in Virginia. You will work with regional managers, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to prepare accurate cost estimates, participate in bidding, and support project execution with strong knowledge of costs, materials, labor, and operations.

The role emphasizes cost optimization and collaboration across planning, bidding, and project implementation to achieve financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
• Estimating experience in construction projects required or preferred.
• At least 3 years of related construction industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage estimating, risk analysis, bids, proposals and contract administration for open cut projects.
• Input and update opportunities into the project management system’s database.
• Review and supply Managers with a Project Survey to determine risk and feasibility.
• Procure plans and specifications for all projects.
• Develop job estimates and budgets.
• Prepare final bid/proposal and track task completion.
• Order bid bonds and ensure insurance requirements are met.
• Ensure submission of proposals or bid delivery to customers.
• Track status of all proposals and bids in the project management system.
• Review key projects with Project Managers regarding estimated costs vs. actual.
• Attend Project Review meetings and lead the bid review process.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with regional managers, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of projects. You’ll play a key role in our project planning, bidding, and implementation processes, contributing your knowledge of cost structures, materials, labor, and operational requirements to support successful project execution. Your insights will be instrumental in driving cost optimization strategies that support project efficiency and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage estimating, risk analysis, bids, proposals and contract administration for open cut projects.

• Input and update all opportunities into the project management system’s database.

• Review and supply Managers with a Project Survey from Sales to determine risk and feasibility of potential projects.

• Procure all Plans and Specifications for all projects accepted by management

• Prepare an estimate with the following tasks

• Maintain an estimating database of history and costs

• Obtain all required job survey information by visiting the job site

• Review and finalize the Project Survey

• Procure sub-contractor quotes

• Qualify sub-contractors with the client (including MWBE requirements, experience, solvency and quality)

• Develop Job Estimate and Budget

• Prepare Final Bid/Proposal and tracks the completion of each task

• Determine final pricing structure and approval with Manager, Estimating and General Manager

• Order Bid Bond, obtain proper Insurance Requirements, assemble and complete Bid Documents/Package.

• Ensure submission of proposals or bid delivery to the customer

• Track the status of all Proposals and Bids in the project management system

• Enter the results of the Proposal and Bid into the project management system

• Review key projects with Project Managers regarding estimated costs vs. actual

• Attend Project Review meetings

• Lead the bid review process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction ManagementorEngineeringpreferred.

• Estimating utility experience.

• 3years’related experience in the construction industry.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Must have strong communication skills with theability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

• Strong negotiation skills, interpersonal skills andthe ability to develop and maintain relationships.

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentwithout day-to-day guidance.

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn other computer applications.
