Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator for transmission and distribution projects in Akron, Ohio. You will prepare cost estimates for large-scale electrical infrastructure, review RFPs, perform material and labor take-offs, and develop comprehensive proposals with schedules and cash flow.

You will collaborate with field leadership and preconstruction teams to influence project profitability. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience estimating utility-scale electrical work,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field
• Experience estimating transmission or distribution construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, OneDrive)
• Experience using Oracle Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools
• Ability to independently prepare proposals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and underground projects
• Review RFP packages and project documentation
• Perform material and labor take-offs
• Attend field walkdowns with superintendents and customer representatives
• Develop proposals including schedules, cash flow projections, and execution plans
• Coordinate with subcontractors for pricing and timelines
• Present proposals and participate in bid review discussions
• Hand off completed estimates to project managers and explain execution plans in detail
