Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver is seeking an Estimator/Scheduler Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to schedules, estimates, and financial tracking on active projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle, from forecasting through closeout, in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have completed 60 hours toward an engineering or construction management degree, prior internship experience in construction, and basic data-entry skills.

• Assist with production of Master Schedules, schedule reviews and change management.
• Maintain project records, validate information, prepare reports and analyses.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors and suppliers to support project execution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Estimator/Scheduler Intern - Summer 2027 to join our Denver, CO office.

Your Role

• Support the development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules, forecasts, budgets, risks, changes, and performance metrics to help deliver projects successfully.
• Perform estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, forecasting, reporting, cash flow monitoring, invoice processing, and financial tracking activities.
• Assist with production of project Master Schedules, contractor schedule review and analysis, time extension analysis, change management, contractor coordination, and compliance monitoring.
• Maintain project records and databases, validates project information, prepares reports and analyses, and supports project communication and decision-making.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to support project execution and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience in construction preferred
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards an engineering or construction management degree from an accredited college/university by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
