Job summary

E&B Paving in Noblesville, IN is seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to drive bidding and project execution from takeoffs to collection. You will service both internal teams and external clients, prioritizing tasks and coordinating with field staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, handling takeoffs, estimating, subcontractor and supplier coordination, and assisting with billing and receivables. A strong INDOT/municipal/commercial project background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years estimating and managing INDOT, municipal, and commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of INDOT specifications, Excel, Word, and Project; digitizing takeoff software
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid and/or Heavy Job beneficial

Purpose of Position

An Estimator / Project Manager plays a key role in the overall operations of E&B Paving. This person is a customer service representative who has internal and external customers. The external customers are new and existing clients. Internal customers are his/her fellow co-workers and teammates. It is their responsibility to be actively involved in projects, from bidding to collection. They must understand all aspects of the project and offer assistance to the field when needed. Communication amongst all parties is vital to success. Communication includes verbal and non-verbal cues. Non-verbal communication includes paperwork given to the field. The estimator project manager must learn to prioritize their tasks and utilize their time appropriately.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 yrs. experience estimating and managing INDOT, municipal, and commercial projects.
• Must have extensive knowledge of INDOT specifications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project as well as digitizing takeoff software
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
• Knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid and/or Heavy Job programs is beneficial

Education

Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent related experience. Professional Engineers with construction experience preferred.

Compensation

Dependent on experience and qualifications.
