Business Administrative Coordinator at Nix Industrial

Business Unit: Northend Gear and Machine

Reports To: Site Manager

Role: The Estimator / Project Manager will be responsible for estimating a variety of machining projects including shafts, gearing, pulleys, and other miscellaneous machining projects.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of an array of machines and machine processes utilized in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment to take accurate measurements for reverse engineering projects to be estimated
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings to provide customer feedback and produce estimates
• Ability to multitask across skilled labor, office, and customer needs
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Passion for excellence in customer care
• Adherence to safety policies and use of personal protective equipment when necessary
• Team-oriented attitude, positive outlook, and eagerness to discover new opportunities

Desired Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred)
• Two or more years of experience (in lieu of education)
• Five or more years of documented machinist experience required
• Knowledge of metal properties and materials
• Knowledge of machining principles (preferred)
• Familiarity with E2 / JobBoss ERP system (preferred)
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Teamwork skills and professionalism
