Position Details

Title: Estimator / Project Manager

Business Unit: Northend Gear and Machine

Location: Fairfield, OH

Reports To: Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Estimate a variety of machining projects including shafts, gearing, pulleys, and other miscellaneous machining projects.
• Use precision measuring equipment to take accurate measurements for reverse engineering projects.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to provide customer feedback and produce estimates.
• Multitask across skilled labor, office, and customer needs.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
• Follow safety policies and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Contribute positively to the team environment and share new opportunities for the organization.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred; or two+ years of relevant experience.
• Five+ years of documented machinist experience.
• Knowledge of metal properties and machining principles.
• Experience with E2 / JobBoss ERP system preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
