Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking an Estimator / Project Coordinator for government contracting and residential construction in Poulsbo, WA. This role offers ownership of estimating, proposal preparation, and bid coordination while working directly with company leadership.

You'll monitor SAM.gov for opportunities, review plans and specs, prepare bids, coordinate pricing with subs and vendors, and support residential preconstruction through design, permits, and handoff.

• Experience with government contracts at federal, state, county, or municipal level.
• Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or construction bids.
• Ability to review plans and specifications and coordinate pricing.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Location: Poulsbo, WA (Remote; local candidates only)

Salary: $60,000-$80,000, with flexibility based on experience

Bonus: 5% of gross profit

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM

About the Opportunity

A growing construction company is seeking an Estimator / Project Coordinator to support government contracting and residential construction projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of estimating, proposal preparation, and bid coordination while working directly with company leadership.

You'll help identify new opportunities, review project requirements, coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, and prepare bid packages. You'll also support residential preconstruction, coordinating estimates, design, permits, and project handoff.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of estimating, project coordination, or project management experience.
• Experience with government contracts at the federal, state, county, or municipal level.
• Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or construction bids.
• Ability to review plans and specifications and coordinate pricing.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred experience:

SAM.gov, federal bid packages, residential or commercial construction, excavation, concrete, carpentry, QuickBooks, Procore, MS Project, or Excel.

Compensation and Benefits

• $60,000-$80,000 base salary, with flexibility for the right candidate.
• 5% of gross profit bonus opportunity.
• 401(k) with up to a 4% employer match after 90 days.
• Two weeks of PTO and seven paid holidays.
