Job summary

Cox Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented estimator to review customer prints, determine materials and vendors, and collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering to deliver accurate quotes.

The role emphasizes cost accuracy, working with ERP/quoting systems, and continuous improvement of estimating practices in a high-volume, manufacturing environment. Local candidates in Texas are preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical prints and manufacturing specifications.
• Proficient with quoting/ERP systems used for pricing and quotes.
• Solid working knowledge of Excel for data analysis.
• Evaluate materials, vendors and processes to ensure accurate costing.
• Analyze job performance data to refine estimates.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering and Management.

Responsibilities

• Review customer prints and project requirements to confirm manufacturability and scope before quoting.
• Determine materials, vendors, and outside services needed to build accurate, competitive quotes.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering on complex or non-standard jobs.
• Analyze and report on repeat job performance to continuously refine estimating accuracy.
