Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced PEMB Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for pre-engineered metal buildings. The ideal candidate understands PEMB systems, fabrication, materials, and erection processes.

This role involves bids from plans and specs and close collaboration with sales and engineering teams. Responsibilities include takeoffs, reviewing drawings, pricing materials and labor, and soliciting vendor pricing.

Qualifications

• Estimate PEMB projects from plans, specs, and client requirements.
• Perform material and quantity takeoffs.
• Review architectural and structural drawings.
• Price materials, fabrication, labor, erection, freight, and subcontracted work.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate proposals and estimates.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, detailing, and operations.
• Identify project risks and cost impacts.
• Maintain organized estimating records and meet bid deadlines.

PEMB Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PEMB Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for pre-engineered metal building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PEMB systems, fabrication, materials, and erection processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates and bids for PEMB projects from plans, specifications, and customer requirements
• Perform material and quantity takeoffs
• Review architectural and structural drawings
• Price materials, fabrication, labor, erection, freight, and subcontracted work
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop accurate project proposals and estimates
• Work with sales, engineering, detailing, and operations teams throughout the estimating process
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost impacts
• Maintain organized estimating records and meet bid deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating PEMB projects preferred
• Strong understanding of pre-engineered metal building systems
• Experience with PEMB manufacturers, fabricators, or erectors preferred
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Understanding of steel fabrication, materials, and erection processes
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
