Job summary

Four Daughters Millwork is seeking an Estimator to support pre-construction efforts for high-end architectural millwork projects across NYC. You will prepare accurate takeoffs, analyze drawings and specs, and develop competitive cost proposals for custom fabrication work.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, performing takeoffs, preparing labor/material estimates, and coordinating with project teams to identify risks and changes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, or commercial construction.
• Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, PlanSwift or similar tools.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, millwork details, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for cabinetry, wood paneling, furniture, hardware, and finishes.
• Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and potential change orders.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Drafting Engineers, and Production teams.
• Support design-assist and design-build budgeting efforts.
• Attend occasional pre-bid meetings or site visits.
