Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Estimator to support the estimating and preconstruction process for high-end luxury custom homes in the St. Charles, MO area. This role focuses on detailed budgeting, accurate takeoffs, and effective collaboration with project teams onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction estimating or preconstruction.
• Experience with estimating, takeoffs, bid solicitation, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Strong understanding of residential construction costs, materials, trades, and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and project budgets for luxury custom residential projects.
• Review construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation to develop accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and subcontractor scopes.
• Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure accurate pricing and complete scopes.
• Develop and maintain project budgets throughout the preconstruction process.
• Track pricing, project costs, and cost changes to maintain accurate estimates.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings while maintaining quality and craftsmanship.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to support the estimating and preconstruction process for high-end luxury custom homes in the St. Charles, MO area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional with strong experience in estimating, takeoffs, budgeting, subcontractor bidding, cost analysis, and residential construction.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed estimates and project budgets for luxury custom residential projects.
• Review construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation to develop accurate estimates.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Strong understanding of residential construction costs, materials, trades, and construction sequencing.
• Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate estimates and project budgets.
• Ability to work on-site in the St. Charles, MO area.
