Title: Estimator II

Location: Rochester, MN

Job Type: FTE/Permanent

Job Description

As an Estimator II, you will prepare portions of contract proposal estimates across one or more disciplines, such as plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems. This role involves determining applicable project plans and specifications, requiring advanced knowledge in one or more of these disciplines. You will independently estimate medium to large-sized projects, including plan/spec, design assist, or design-build projects. This position is on-site based in the Rochester, MN office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop proposals and drawings to determine the scope of work and the required contents of the estimate.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to complete a work activity.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating, engineering, or trade experience in mechanical construction.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, piping, or sheet metal systems.
• Proficiency in Mechanical estimating software.
• Strong ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Associate degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
