MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Cost Estimator II to join our Client Programs Market on our Cost Management Team in any US office, including Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; Albany, NY; and Phoenix, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to work on global and national building programs, focusing on project and client leadership throughout all phases of design and delivery.

The Cost Estimator II will support senior staff with project tasks such as comparisons, material and labor investigations, and pricing. Responsibilities include preparing estimates at various project stages, performing quantity surveys, providing value engineering suggestions, and supporting bid and change order reviews. The candidate should have commercial construction estimating experience and a good understanding of architecture and construction.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed takeoffs for all CSI divisions.
  • Research and apply labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Prepare estimates for new construction, remodels, and small infrastructure projects.
  • Create detailed narratives to communicate scope of work.
  • Review estimates with senior staff for quality assurance.
  • Support project tasks like comparisons and investigations.
  • Update historical cost databases.
  • Participate in bid reviews, change order reviews, and client meetings.
  • Visit sites as needed and attend team meetings.
  • Ensure work accuracy, adhere to schedules, and monitor project profitability.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.
  • Experience in commercial construction preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Understanding of architecture and construction processes.

Compensation ranges from $71,300 to $111,200 annually, depending on qualifications.
