Job summary

HDR is seeking an Estimator I to develop and present cost data for construction and project estimates, collaborating with design and construction teams to support accurate budgeting and planning across diverse projects.

You will work on estimates ranging from planning to definitive proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness while aligning with project schedules and scope. HDR values employee ownership and fosters an inclusive culture across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of General Contracting, EPC construction methods, processes, and procedures, and general construction industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates.
• Work on estimates that may be order of magnitude for planning purposes, preliminary for evaluation/study purposes, or definitive for proposal or proposal comparison purposes.
• Demonstrate understanding and ability to interpret construction plans and specifications with respect to preparing cost estimates.
• Take responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters.
• Coordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data.
• Perform other duties as needed.
