As an Estimator I, you’ll work alongside experienced estimators and project teams to develop accurate, competitive estimates for metal fabrication and installation projects. You’ll build your understanding of Division 5 Metals while learning how a project moves from drawings and specifications through estimating, fabrication, and field installation.
This is an opportunity to learn the business of estimating while building the work behind some of Stewart Iron Works’ most important projects. You’ll learn how architectural and structural plans become scopes, quantities, labor hours, material orders, fabricated pieces, and ultimately finished installations. You’ll work alongside people who understand metal fabrication and construction and who can help you develop the technical and commercial judgment required to become a strong estimator.
We’re not looking for someone to simply plug numbers into a spreadsheet. We’re looking for someone who is curious about how things are built, pays attention to the details, asks good questions, protects the integrity of the estimate, and wants to develop expertise in the craft and business of metalwork. If that sounds like you, let’s build something that lasts.
