Job summary

CoVolt Power, a leading utility-scale EPC company, is seeking an Estimator to develop cost estimates for HV and MV electrical power systems including substations and transmission lines on EPC/turnkey projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing RFQ documents, developing detailed takeoffs, coordinating with engineering, procurement and project management, and presenting estimates to leadership. Travel ~10%; remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or related engineering preferred.
• 3+ years cost estimating for HV substations and transmission lines.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, NESC, OSHA, NERC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for HV/MV substations and transmission projects.
• Review client RFQ documents to determine scope, schedule and design criteria.
• Prepare detailed material takeoffs and bid packages.
• Present cost estimates to leadership and assist in proposals.
