The Estimator will prepare cost estimates for engineering, testing, and consulting services by reviewing project plans, specifications, and related documentation. Day-to-day duties include gathering and analyzing data to quantify materials, labor, and equipment needs,

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for accurate estimates.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general office productivity tools.
• Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple estimates, deadlines, and project files.
• Relevant experience in construction, engineering consulting, or testing services; prior work with multidisciplinary teams is beneficial.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with local building codes, industry standards, and bidding processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for engineering, testing, and consulting services.
• Review project plans, specifications, and related documentation.
• Gather and analyze data to quantify materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Develop detailed proposals and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical staff to ensure estimates reflect accurate scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Update and maintain cost databases, assist with bid preparation.
• Support client communications to clarify scope and pricing.
