Job summary

A growing construction services company is seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team in Woburn, MA. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have substantial experience in preparing proposals, understanding local building codes, and knowledge of construction materials. Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an Assistant Estimator or 5-7 years of overall experience.
• Proficiency in interpreting plans and specifications for proposals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare written proposals for bids and proposals by interpreting plans.
• Manage and train project engineers and assistant estimators.
• Maintain knowledge of local material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Manage and train project engineers and assistant estimators for growth.
• Develop knowledge across drywall, acoustical, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Our Client is a growing company performing construction services from Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states to New England. Our Client has nearly 65 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, structural strengthening and building envelope restoration, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications in order to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals
• Possess knowledge of local material, labor and equipment costs
• Maintain understanding of all local, city and state building codes in assigned locations
• Manage and train project engineers and assistant project estimators to ensure proper growth within the organization
• Continuously develop and improve upon knowledge for all product lines, including drywall, acoustical, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Education and Experience

• B.S. Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting is preferred
• Assistant Estimator with 2 years of experience or 5-7 years of experience overall
