Jobot is seeking an MEP Estimator to join our Rochester, MN team. This backfill role focuses on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, spanning sheet metal, piping, and plumbing.

You will prepare detailed budgets and collaborate across offices to win multi‑million dollar projects. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in pure estimating for commercial MEP environments, a strong grasp of mechanical systems, and a collaborative, ownership‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pure estimating experience within commercial MEP environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (sheet metal, piping, plumbing).
• Experience on projects ranging from several million to $100M.
• Background in a commercial mechanical contractor environment (preferred).
• Ability to work across teams and offices.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Role Overview

We are seeking an MEP Estimator to join our team supporting our Rochester operations. This role is a backfill for a retiring team member and offers the opportunity for cross‑training and knowledge transfer. You will focus on pure estimating within commercial mechanical systems, working across sheet metal, piping, and plumbing scopes.

This individual will play a key role in both executing estimates and helping elevate the overall estimating function. You will report directly to the Chief Estimator and collaborate across offices on a variety of project types.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial MEP projects (sheet metal, piping, plumbing)

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support bid strategy

What We’re Looking For
