Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking an Estimator - Commercial Refurbishment to manage commercial/industrial refurbishment tenders. You will conduct take-offs, prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing, and assist with subcontractor quotations and supplier costs for multiple projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive estimator experience with a main contractor, familiarity with large-scale refurbishments, and the ability to price projects and compile tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive estimator experience with a main contractor.
• Experience pricing construction projects and preparing tender submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• IT literate and able to use estimation software or spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct take-offs to support accurate project assessments.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for projects.
• Assist with obtaining and reviewing subcontractor quotations and supplier costs.
• Support contract review meetings with the Contracts Department for secured projects.
• Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

The role of the Estimator - Commercial Refurbishment will involve:

• Estimator position promoting a range of commercial/industrial refurbishment projects
• Conduct take-offs to support accurate project assessments
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing
• Assist with obtaining and reviewing subcontractor quotations and supplier costs
• Support contract review meetings with the Contracts Department for secured projects
• Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high accuracy, organisation, and quality standard

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Commercial Refurbishment with:

• Must have extensive experience as an Estimator within a main contractor
• Ideally have experience with refurbishment of large scale industrial and commercial projects
• Would be open to a junior who's looking to get a foot in the door within the flat roofing industry
• Proven experience pricing construction projects and preparing tender submissions.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong character that's not afraid to help the team when necessary
• IT literate
