Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Estimator to join the Strategic Projects Construction team on major projects nationwide. Location is flexible with occasional site or regional office travel; 40 hours per week with some schedule flexibility. This permanent role is based in the UK with NN10 6EN as a reference point.

You will estimate project costs, help maximise profit, and foster relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors while guiding junior team members and promoting best practice.

Responsibilities

• Support the generation of tenders by estimating costs and resources for projects.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise costs and maximise profit.
• Contribute to the assessment, preparation and submission of tenders, working with design, planning and commercial teams.
• Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with customers, consultants and suppliers throughout the tender process.
• Provide regular, accurate reports and forecasts to support decision-making.

Job description

We're looking for an Estimator to join our Strategic Projects Construction team and work on Major Projects across the country.

Location: Flexible. Occasional travel to sites or regional offices for collaboration.Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in supporting our team to generate profitable tenders and grow our market share. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to estimate project costs, identify opportunities to maximise profit, and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors. This is a great opportunity to contribute to exciting construction projects while supporting junior team members and promoting best practice.

What will you be responsible for?

• -Supporting the generation of tenders by estimating costs and resources for projects
