Job summary

Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Inc. is seeking an Estimator to supports the Sales and Estimating teams by preparing detailed labor and material estimates for custom unitized curtain wall projects. You will compile material take-offs and develop budget proposals responding to client requests.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales, analyzing project scope, soliciting supplier quotes, coordinating subcontractor outreach, and assisting in budget proposals under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or related field (completed or in progress).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on achieving shared goals.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor and material estimates for custom unitized curtain wall projects.
• Compile comprehensive material take-offs for all scope items manufactured by Pioneer and develop budget proposals in response to client requests.
• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions that align with contract specifications.
• Analyze project scope to determine the quantity and type of materials required to meet design and performance criteria.
• Support estimators with detailed take-offs for all materials and accessories related to Pioneer-manufactured scope items.
• Solicit and evaluate material supplier quotes for outsourced components, including clarifications and side-by-side comparisons.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor outreach, tracking outstanding quotes and responses.
• Contribute to the preparation of budget proposals under supervision, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Participate in special project teams and support additional estimating-related tasks as needed.
