Job summary

Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Inc. in Mason, OH is seeking a detail-oriented estimator who supports the Sales and Estimating teams by preparing labor and material estimates for custom curtain wall projects.

You will read drawings, perform take-offs, and help develop budget proposals in response to client requests, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids. The role requires a technical degree, strong math skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or a related technical field (completed or in progress) preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a focus on achieving shared goals.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to develop efficient, cost-effective solutions that align with contract specifications.
• Analyze project scope to determine the quantity and type of materials required to meet design and performance criteria.
• Support Estimators with detailed take-offs for all materials and accessories related to Pioneer-manufactured scope items.
• Assist in soliciting and evaluating material supplier quotes for outsourced components, including clarifications and side-by-side comparisons.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor outreach, tracking outstanding quotes and responses.
• Contribute to the preparation of budget proposals under supervision, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Participate in special project teams and support additional estimating-related tasks as needed.
