SEEKING OUTSTANDING CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE

(UNDERGROUND UTILITIES - wet/dry)

YOU:

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to determine time frames, labor needs, materials, budgets, and potential setbacks.
• Review project plans and specifications.
• Estimate crew costs, including personnel, equipment, and daily expenses.
• Estimate production costs.
• Negotiate with material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify and communicate potential risks to the Chief Estimator.
• Review project estimates with the Chief Estimator.
• Complete and review bid documents.
• Submit bid documents within deadlines.
• Prepare bid turnover information, contract bond forms, and update last-minute price changes.
• Lead job turnover to the Superintendent and project management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 2-3 years of experience as a full-time Estimator in heavy civil construction/underground utilities (wet/dry), or substantial relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with HCSS/Heavy Bid software.
• Self-starter with accountability and a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and meeting driving record requirements.
• Successful passing of background check and drug test.
