Job summary

Rochester Motor Cars in Rochester, MN seeks an Estimator Apprentice to assist the lead estimator by evaluating damage, preparing estimates, and communicating with customers and insurers. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and mentorship to develop the skills needed to become a certified estimator.

You will learn to inspect vehicles, use CCC One and Mitchell, schedule repairs, and maintain organized records while Shadowing experienced staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy; estimating software experience a plus.
• Willingness to learn and shadow senior estimators.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting damaged vehicles at drop-off.
• Create accurate cost estimates using CCC One or Mitchell.
• Schedule repairs.
• Communicate with customers and insurance adjusters.
• Learn estimating systems, parts sourcing, and labor calculations.
• Maintain organized files and customer records.
• Perform a walk around at end of repair with guest.
• Shadow experienced estimators and attend training.
