Job summary

Wasatch Construction Partners seeks an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for both residential and commercial projects, from budgeting through bid submission. You will work with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to develop scopes, solicit bids, and ensure market-informed estimates.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of construction estimating experience for residential and commercial projects.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for residential and commercial projects.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary budgets during preconstruction and design-development phases.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and material bids for complete coverage.
• Analyze drawings to identify scope gaps, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain historical cost databases, unit pricing, and productivity metrics to improve accuracy.
• Prepare bid packages, proposals, and qualification documents for owners, architects, and general contractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to reconcile budgets with actual costs.
• Track market trends in labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing across sectors.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and owner/architect interviews.
• Maintain organized estimate files and documentation for bids and handoff.
