Job summary

ECC Exteriors is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Northern California team. This role focuses on independently managing bids, analyzing project requirements, and delivering accurate cost estimates for large-scale exterior renovation projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in construction estimating (exterior renovations, multi-family or commercial), proficiency in estimating software and Excel, and the ability to travel within Northern California as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (exterior renovations, multi-family, or commercial preferred).
• Ability to manage estimates independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Northern California, with occasional travel outside the region as needed.
• Combination of office-based work and on-site project visits.
• Travel between job sites across Northern California.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale exterior renovation projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to understand scope, risks, and requirements.
• Develop detailed takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Lead and manage the bid process from initial review through final submission.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure competitive and strategic bids.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Maintain and refine estimating databases, cost history, and tools.
