Job summary

ECC Exteriors in Northern California is seeking an experienced Estimator to independently manage bids and develop detailed takeoffs for large-scale exterior renovation projects. You will analyze plans, collaborate with project managers, and drive winning, cost-effective proposals in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with estimating software and Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating (exterior renovations, multi-family, or commercial preferred).
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Northern California, with occasional travel outside the region as needed.
• Combination of office-based work and on-site project visits.
• Travel between job sites across Northern California.
• Salary starting at $85,000+ depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale exterior renovation projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to fully understand scope, risks, and requirements.
• Develop detailed takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Lead and manage the bid process from initial review through final submission.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure competitive and strategic bids.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Maintain and refine estimating databases, cost history, and tools.

ECC Exteriors is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Northern California team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction estimating who can independently manage bids, analyze project requirements, and contribute to winning work in a fast-paced environment.
