Job summary

Gulfeagle Supply in Missouri is seeking an Estimator who is proficient in Auto CAD and reading architectural plans to generate material estimates for commercial roofing projects.

You will review roof plans, design tapered roof insulation systems, operate estimating software, and release drawings. Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate with branch teams and contractors are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive roof plans, review, modify, and release plans using a CAD system.
• Design, produce owner drawings, custom detailed drawings, modify and release drawings using a CAD system.
• Value Engineering: Alternate suggestions to offer more cost effective designs.
• Communication: Clear communication between branch personnel and contractors.
• Record Keeping: Assist team with order entry and inventory inquiries; filing of quoted jobs.
• Accountability: Reports directly to the Branch Manager.
• Branch Sales: Meet branch sales and budget expectations related to warehouse and direct sales, and new accounts.
• Product Knowledge: Advise on features and benefits of the product line, including specialty items.

Estimator

JOB SUMMARY

The Estimator must be well versed in Auto CAD and reading architectural plans.

Responsibilities include generating material estimates, operating estimating software, operating Auto CAD and designing and estimating tapered roof insulation systems for the commercial roofing industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receive roof plans, review, modify, and release plans using a CAD system.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Equipment Maintain working knowledge of all equipment and software needed to perform duties of position
• Design Produce owner drawings, custom detailed drawings, modify and release drawings using a CAD system.
• Value Engineering Alternate suggestions should be made to the requesting party of how to offer a more cost effective design.
• Communication Consistent and clear communication between branch personnel and sometimes directly with contractor.
• Record Keeping Assist team with order entry and inventory inquiries. Responsible for “filing” all jobs that have been quoted so they can be easily accessed up until 2 years from date of quote.
• Accountability Reports directly to the Branch Manager.
• Branch Sales Meet expectations as determined by the Branch Manager and budget as it relates to Branch Total Sales, specifically: Warehouse Sales and Budget, Direct Sales as well as the number of New Accounts opened.
• Product Knowledge Act as a consultant with regard to the characteristics, uses and benefits of the entire line of products that can be used in the marketplace. Knowledgeable on non-commodity & specialty products.
