Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing estimation experience.
• Knowledge of roofing systems, materials and installation methods.
• Experience with takeoffs, blueprints, specifications and construction documents.
• Ability to calculate labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Proficient with estimation software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. What You’ll Do

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate existing roof systems and project conditions
• Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages
• Obtain and analyze pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Identify potential project risks, exclusions, and scope gaps
• Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and operations to ensure accurate handoffs
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, and project requirements
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walks when needed
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
• Help develop winning bid strategies while maintaining healthy project margins

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
• Experience with roof takeoffs, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Ability to accurately calculate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Strong understanding of construction pricing and project costs
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Experience with The EDGE, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AccuLynx, or similar estimating platforms is a plus
• Experience with TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, and metal roofing is highly preferred
