Tiello LLC partners with a well-established commercial roofing contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator for the Dallas, TX area. This role focuses on delivering accurate, competitive estimates and proposals for diverse roofing projects.

You will review plans and specs, perform site visits and takeoffs, assess costs, and collaborate with sales, project management, and operations to hand off successful bids. Travel locally is required.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or related role.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and installation methods.
• Experience with TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, coatings.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficient in material and labor takeoffs; strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites; valid driver's license.

Tiello has partnered with a well-established commercial roofing contractor that is looking to add an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to their growing team in Dallas, TX.

This is a great opportunity for a roofing professional who understands commercial roofing systems, can accurately estimate projects, and enjoys working closely with customers, project managers, and field teams to help deliver successful projects.

The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial roofing projects. This role will evaluate project requirements, perform site visits and roof inspections, review plans and specifications, develop material and labor takeoffs, and prepare detailed proposals.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of commercial roofing systems and understands the estimating process from initial site evaluation through proposal and project handoff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projects
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents
• Conduct jobsite visits, roof inspections, and field measurements
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Determine project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other project requirements
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop competitive bids while maintaining appropriate margins
• Identify potential scope gaps, risks, and cost concerns before submitting proposals
• Work closely with sales, project management, and operations teams
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, property managers, and vendors as needed
• Attend pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs when required
• Prepare and submit professional proposals and estimates within established deadlines
• Maintain organized estimating records and documentation
• Track bid opportunities and follow up on submitted proposals
• Assist with the transition of awarded projects to the project management and operations teams
• Stay current on commercial roofing materials, systems, pricing, and industry trends
• Support the team in achieving company sales and profitability goals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating, construction estimating, or a related role
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and installation methods
• Experience with TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, coatings, and/or other commercial roofing systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, labor requirements, and project costs
• Experience performing material and labor takeoffs
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Comfortable conducting jobsite visits and roof inspections
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Experience with estimating software or construction management platforms is a plus
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites as needed
