Job summary

AQUALIS Headquarters seeks an Estimator to join our stormwater repair team. You will collect and analyze project data to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor for repairs on regulated systems across the United States.

Write repair proposals in collaboration with the Project Management team. Bring 2–5 years of stormwater experience and strong budgeting, site assessment, and client communication skills to help drive growth and protect the environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ stormwater management or environmental services experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze site and drainage plans.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Adobe.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical estimates for repair, remediation and rehabilitation projects from drawings, specs, photos and interviews.
  • Perform site visits as required.
  • Ensure bid deadlines and presentations meet requirements and identify solutions for compliance gaps.
  • Prepare detailed scopes by analyzing regulations and on-site docs.
  • Develop repair budgets by projecting costs.
  • Analyze and update site plan mark-ups to guide teams and partners.
  • Maintain consistency across corporate, division, in-field teams and partners.

Where do you fit in?

The Estimator is an office based, solutions-driven role for our stormwater repair team. You will focus on collecting and analyzing stormwater project data to estimate the time, costs, materials, and labor required to provide repair services to regulated stormwater management systems located across the United States. You will be responsible for writing repair proposals while working in tandem with the Project Management team. This is a unique opportunity to directly drive business growth and revenue while making an impact on the environment!

Duties:
  • Prepare technical estimates for repair, remediation and rehabilitation projects from information received such as asset drawings, specifications, photo documentation and customer interviews
  • Perform site visits as required by internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensures that bid deadlines and customer presentation requirements are met while proactively identifying and suggesting solutions for known compliance deficiencies
  • Prepare detailed scopes for clients by analyzing regulations and in-field documentation
  • Develop repair budgets by identifying and projecting all relevant costs
  • Analyze, update, and produce mark-ups of site plans to guide in-field teams and service partners
  • Maintain consistency among corporate, division, in-field teams and service partners through documentation and communication
  • Maintain and update master pricing sheet and cost keys
  • Analyze data and track work orders in Microsoft Dynamics and client portals
  • Other duties as assigned by Director
Position Requirements / Knowledge and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred (Environmental Science, Construction Management, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen with motivation to drive business revenue
  • Experience projecting costs for restorative repair projects preferred
  • Aptitude for drafting technical persuasive proposals using detailed descriptions and site photographs
  • 2-5 years’ experience in stormwater management, sediment & erosion control, construction, or other environmental services preferred
  • Ability to interpret and analyze site and drainage plans Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel, and other computer programs
  • Strong customer service and negotiating skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and organize
  • Coordinating and managing sub-contractors and internal repair crews
  • Preparing Take-Off’s and executing with scope and pricing
  • Familiarity with construction terminology
  • OSHA Standard and other site safety practices
