Michael Page in Indianapolis is seeking an Estimator to own conceptual and detailed estimates for high-impact commercial projects, partnering with clients, architects, and design teams to shape projects from ground up.

You will lead the full bidding and preconstruction process, leverage modern estimating software, and work with project managers to establish accurate budgets and set teams up for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial GC estimating experience
• Ability to lead estimating efforts and collaborate across teams
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates that help shape projects from earliest stages through final design
• Partner with design teams to provide strategic budget guidance and accurate pricing throughout design development
• Own the full bidding process, including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor outreach, bid tracking, pricing, bid leveling, and final submissions
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive, accurate, and complete pricing
• Build and maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and assemblies to improve pricing accuracy and efficiency
• Help drive the implementation and optimization of modern estimating software and technology
• Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and construction teams to develop and refine estimates
• Transition awarded projects into construction by partnering with Project Managers to establish accurate budgets and set the team up for success

Estimator's Key Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates that help shape projects from the earliest stages through final design.
• Partner with design teams to provide strategic budget guidance and accurate pricing throughout design development.

Profile

The Successful Estimator:

• Bring 2+ years of commercial General Contractor estimating experience with a strong understanding of the full preconstruction process.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead estimating efforts and collaborate across teams, including Project Managers, field leadership, and executives.
• Confidently leverage industry-standard estimating software, tools, and systems to drive accurate and efficient results.
• Bring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a consistent focus on quality, timelines, and delivering on commitments.
