KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in the North Texas area. You will prepare detailed estimates for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems on projects up to $50M and support pre-bid through handoff from estimation through award.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial mechanical estimating experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing, and proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, EstMEP, or similar tools.

• Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, EstMEP, or similar tools.
• Experience working with GCs, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems on projects up to $50M.
• Perform quantity take-offs for pipe, valves, fittings, equipment, and fixtures.
• Develop and manage multiple bids simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Prepare RFIs, material matrices, and bid proposals (scope, pricing, exclusions).
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Lead pre-bid and internal review meetings.
• Compile recap sheets and cost analysis for leadership approval.
• Serve as point of contact for post-bid and pre-award activities.
• Lead project handoff to operations teams.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a growing mechanical construction team in North Texas. This key role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for large-scale commercial mechanical projects and supporting successful project execution from pre-bid through handoff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systems on projects up to $50M
