Job summary

Powers Products Co. in Colorado seeks an energetic design-assist and pre-construction professional to join our team. You will focus on Kalwall wall and roof systems and related glazing solutions, handling material takeoffs and bid preparation.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs and addenda, developing cost and schedule insights, and submitting pricing requests. You will maintain CRM records and assist with light studies using Climate Studio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial construction or design experience.
• Proficient with construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Experience using BlueBeam for takeoffs.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of our specialized products and scopes, focused on Kalwall panels and other glazing systems.
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans and specifications.
• Review bid instructions, specifications, and addenda for deadlines and project requirements.
• Develop understanding of product and project details and their impact on costs and schedule.
• Submit pricing requests for materials and review quotes for accuracy.
• Prepare material, labor, and equipment estimates for review by senior sales team members.
• Assist with pre-bid communication and post-bid follow-up.
• Maintain project opportunities within our CRM.
• Assist in the preparation of light studies using Climate Studio modeling software.

We are currently searching for an energetic professional to join our design-assist and pre-construction team.

Position Summary:

• Develop a strong understanding of our specialized products and scopes of work, focused primarily on Kalwall translucent panel wall and roof applications and other structural sloped glazing systems (glass, ETFE, etc.).
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans and specifications
• Review bid instructions, specifications, and addendum for important deadlines and project requirements
• Develop an understanding of critical product and project details and evaluate their impact on material and installation costs, schedule, etc
• Submit pricing requests for materials through our exclusive manufacturing partners and review quotes for accuracy
• Prepare material, labor, and equipment estimates for review by senior sales team members
• Assist with pre-bid communication and post-bid follow-up
• Maintain project opportunities within our CRM
• Assist in the preparation of light studies using Climate Studio modeling software

Desired skills and experience:

• Minimum 2-years of commercial construction and/or design experience or related construction or architectural education
• Proficient with construction plans and specifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple bids, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
