Job summary

Powers Products Co. in Englewood, CO is seeking a daylighting estimator to validate designs and prepare accurate project estimates. You will work closely with the Daylighting Product Manager and Director to ensure bids meet scope and cost targets.

The role emphasizes translucent daylighting applications, takeoffs from construction plans, bid coordination, and software-assisted light studies in a collaborative, long-standing team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-years of commercial construction and/or design experience or related construction or architectural education.
• Proficient with construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple bids, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Experience using BlueBeam for takeoffs.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Experience with, and/or aptitude to learn, REVIT or RHINO.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of specialized products and scopes of work, focused on translucent daylighting applications and other glazing systems.
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans and specifications
• Review bid instructions, specifications, and addendum for important deadlines and project requirements
• Develop understanding of product and project details and evaluate impact on costs, schedule, etc
• Submit pricing requests for materials through manufacturing partners and review quotes for accuracy
• Prepare material, labor, and equipment estimates for review by senior sales team
• Assist with pre-bid communication and post-bid follow-up
• Maintain project opportunities within our CRM
• Assist in preparation of light studies using Climate Studio modeling software

Responsibilities

This role will work closely with our Daylighting Product Manager and Director of Daylighting to validate application designs and estimate projects. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Develop a strong understanding of our specialized products and scopes of work, focused primarily on translucent daylighting (facade, roof) applications and other structural sloped glazing systems (glass, ETFE, etc.).
• Perform accurate material takeoffs from construction plans and specifications
• Review bid instructions, specifications, and addendum for important deadlines and project requirements
• Develop an understanding of critical product and project details and evaluate their impact on material and installation costs, schedule, etc
• Submit pricing requests for materials through our exclusive manufacturing partners and review quotes for accuracy
• Prepare material, labor, and equipment estimates for review by senior sales team members
• Assist with pre-bid communication and post-bid follow-up
• Maintain project opportunities within our CRM
• Assist in the preparation of light studies using Climate Studio modeling software

Position Type / Work Location:

• Full-time, office-based role in Metro-Denver (Englewood)

Compensation

• Compensation range $75K - $100K (base + bonus) depending on qualifications and relevant experience
