Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in accelerating our success. Leveraging your expertise in aluminum storefronts, windows and doors, and/or steel construction, you will engage directly with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their project requirements. In this critical role, you will manage the full project lifecycle, from generating quotes and securing approvals to ordering materials and facilitating production. Your ability to maintain strong relationships with customers and your in-depth knowledge of estimating principles will be vital in ensuring Arcadia continues to be the supplier of choice for a wide range of projects, both large and small.
Responsibilities
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients via email and phone, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
- Quote Preparation: Prepare detailed quotes for products, including custom hardware or specialized components, as per the customer's request. Ensure accuracy in pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Sales Order Management: Generate and manage sales orders, transfer orders, purchase orders, and/or work orders using the company’s ERP system.
- Material and Service Ordering: Place orders for materials, hardware, and any additional services necessary to fulfill customer orders. Ensure materials are sourced in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Project Coordination: Monitor shipping and receiving timelines for project materials, taking corrective action as needed to prevent delays or issues.
- Production Planning: Prepare detailed production sheets and coordinate production processes, ensuring all necessary resources are available for smooth project execution.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain proactive and consistent communication with all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment and clarity at each stage.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Identify potential issues early in the process and work to resolve them, ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing any concerns, providing updates, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all materials and products meet quality standards and comply with project specifications before being shipped to the client.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all communications, quotes, orders, and project documentation for internal reference and client transparency.
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of aluminum storefronts, windows, doors, and/or steel construction.
- Proficient in estimating principles and practices with keen attention to detail.
- Experience working with ERP systems and order management software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A customer-focused mindset with a proactive and positive "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in construction engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2+ years Estimating experience in the Construction/Production industry.
- Previous experience with one or more of the following: aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, unitize facades, or building steel constructions.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Able to create, understand, interpret, and execute architectural and construction drawings, plans, and/or schematics.
- Understanding of the hardware (locks, cylinders, etc.) needed.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
- Clearly communicate in written and verbal English.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Demonstrate
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Customer service experience in an estimating position.
- Previous experience using Bluebeam.
- Experience working with Dynamics 365.
- Experience working with Estimating programs.
