Job summary

Fisk Electric Co. in Dallas, TX is seeking an Estimator to join our office. You will lead engineered estimates for Technical, Health Care or Industrial projects and support project teams from concept through bid.

The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent, 2+ years in electrical estimating with on-screen take-off; proficiency with estimating software, McCormick and Bluebeam, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Four year Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related career experience.
• 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor.
• One plus years recent Electrical Estimating experience with on-screen take-off experience preferred.
• Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department’s computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for multiple systems on Technical, Health Care or Industrial projects
• Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M
• Understand the concepts and process of conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M
• Review the scope specified within the proposal and ensure estimates include appropriate scope
• Develop detailed cost estimates and proactively identify deficiencies and/or questions; actively assist the project team toward the answers
• Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes
• Proficient with estimating software
• Working knowledge of McCormick and Bluebeam
• Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Review Estimate take-offs
• Understanding and familiarity with NEC
• Mentoring Estimator Trainees & Estimator 1 staff
