Job summary

Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, in Dallas, TX, seeks an Estimator to join our team. You will lead engineered estimates up to $5M, review contracts, and develop cost estimates for Technical, Health Care, or Industrial projects, collaborating with project teams to ensure complete and accurate take-offs.

Ideal candidates have a four-year Construction/Engineering degree and 2+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience, with on-screen take-off proficiency and strong written and oral

Qualifications

• Four year Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and related career experience.
• 2+ years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor.
• One plus years recent Electrical Estimating experience with on-screen take-off experience preferred.

DESCRIPTION:

As an Estimator at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for multiple systems on Technical, Health Care or Industrial projects
• Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M
• Understand the concepts and process of conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M
• Review the scope specified within the proposal and ensure estimates include appropriate scope
• Develop detailed cost estimates and proactively identify deficiencies and/or questions; actively assist the project team toward the answers
• Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes
• Proficient with estimating software
• Working knowledge of McCormick and Bluebeam
• Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Review Estimate take-offs
• Understanding and familiarity with NEC
• Mentoring Estimator Trainees & Estimator 1 staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• Four year Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related career experience
• 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor
• One plus years recent Electrical Estimating experience with on-screen take-off experience preferred
• Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department’s computer systems and software
