Hover is redefining how contractors estimate and price projects by combining measured property data with a new estimating product. You will own the end-to-end roadmap for Hover's estimating line, guiding a six-engineer team and coordinating with product, design, and data groups to deliver an integrated solution that leverages Hover's measurements and 3D AI interactions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with at least 4 years leading engineering teams.
• Experience owning a product line roadmap and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience managing multiple teams or focus areas at once.
• Experience with systems that have pricing, configuration, or rules logic.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL federation, or Postgres is a plus.
• AI fluency: understanding how generative tooling fits into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for Hover's estimating product line end to end, balancing enterprise needs with product strategy.
• Lead the Estimates team (currently six engineers) and collaborate weekly with product, design, and data groups to align shipping toward one direction.
• Drive architecture toward a flexible estimating engine that supports diverse inputs without forking logic by use case.
• Reduce costs by consolidating existing estimates functionality and partnering with catalog to build standalone pricing.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers, hire, and grow the team as scope expands.
