Job summary

Hover is seeking an engineering leader to own the end-to-end roadmap for the estimating product line, aligning enterprise needs with Hover's measurement and 3D AI platforms.

You will manage the Estimates team (six engineers) and collaborate with product, design, and data groups to ship integrated pricing and pricing-driven workflows across retail and restoration/insurance use cases. Hybrid work in SF/NYC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years managing engineering teams and ownership over a product line roadmap.
• Full people management experience: hiring, leveling, coaching, performance conversations, promoting scope.
• Experience leading more than one team or focus area concurrently.
• Experience with pricing, configuration, or rules logic in engineering systems.
• Technical depth to make architecture calls; familiarity with Rails, React, TS, GraphQL, or Postgres is a plus.
• Fluent AI mindset: integrating generative tooling into workflows and measuring impact.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end roadmap for Hover's estimating product line, balancing enterprise needs with product cohesion.
• Directly manage the Estimates team (six engineers) and collaborate with product, design, and data groups.
• Lead architecture changes to a flexible estimating engine and reduce legacy functionality.
• Partner with the catalog team to build standalone pricing within Hover's ecosystem.
• Engage with enterprise customers and hire/grow the team as scope expands.
