Job summary

Blattner, a leader in renewable energy construction with a long history, seeks an Estimating Assistant in Avon, MN to support quotes, bid planning, and administrative tasks. You will coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to keep information flowing.

Responsibilities include preparing RFPs, downloading bid documents, and managing bid calendars, while entering data into HCSS, Excel, and Salesforce. This on-site role offers competitive pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year post high school degree and/or on-the-job experience.
• Minimum 2 years related office experience.

Job description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Assists the Estimating department with clients, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal requests regarding quotes, bid planning, reporting, and administrative assignments.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

• Solicits quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers by preparing the following: request for proposals (RFPs), making phone calls, e-mailing and advertising utilizing SmartBid software. Returns calls from the subs/suppliers to answer questions or bid results.


• Downloads owner received RFP documents and monitors additional information uploaded by owner. Copies and distributes plan documents.


• Assists bid teams with planning and scheduling pre-bid meetings, bid planning, and bid file set-up and completion.


• Creates bids using HCSS and Excel software programs. (Enters all necessary information into the software by importing, typing, or downloading information.)


• Maintains bid calendar and distributes to project managers, estimators, etc.


• Populates new bid opportunities and incorporates materials within Salesforce.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Computer and office skills normally acquired through the completion of two-year post high school degree and/or on-the-job experience.


• Minimum 2 years related office experience.

$20.97 - $28.82 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
