PCL Construction, Inc. in Tempe, Arizona is seeking an Estimating Student for the summer. You will support the estimating team by reviewing quantity surveys, managing bid documents, and performing bid day assignments at a leading construction firm.

You will use BEST Estimating software and develop relationships with subcontractors while pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field. This temporary full-time role runs May through August in the Tempe area.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat or similar software is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners.

Responsabilités

• Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
• Bid document control
• Performs bid day assignments
• Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
• Visits job sites periodically
• Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
• Develops relationships with subcontractors
• Other duties as assigned
