Job summary

Netzer Metalworks, LLC is seeking an Estimating & Sales Support Specialist to coordinate with engineering, purchasing, suppliers and sales to produce accurate and competitive quotations. You will manage RFQs, gather pricing and lead times, analyze costs, and ensure customer requirements are clearly understood throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting both operational and sales

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in manufacturing-related fields preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, specs and technical requirements to develop accurate quotations.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, purchasing and production to prepare pricing proposals.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and technical information.
• Research and source difficult materials and manufacturing requirements for quoting.
• Perform post‑job cost analysis to improve estimating accuracy and profitability.
• Ensure customer requirements are understood and communicated across the organization.
• Support sales with quote follow‑up, opportunity tracking and timely communication.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers to support pricing and delivery.

The Estimating & Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the quoting process by coordinating with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and sales teams to develop accurate and competitive quotations. This role manages RFQs, gathers supplier pricing and lead times, performs cost analysis, and helps ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting both operational and sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to develop accurate quotations.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, purchasing, and production teams to prepare pricing proposals using engineering‑provided labor and manufacturing data.
• Coordinate with raw material suppliers, hardware vendors, and outside processing providers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information required to support estimating and quoting activities.
• Research and source difficult‑to‑find materials, hardware and manufacturing requirements to support customer and production needs.
• Perform post‑job cost analysis to improve estimating accuracy, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and enhance profitability.
• Ensure customer requirements, specifications, and expectations are clearly understood, documented, and communicated throughout the organization.
• Support sales activities through quote follow‑up, opportunity tracking, and timely communication with internal teams and customers.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers and outside service providers to support competitive pricing and reliable delivery performance.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, machining, sheet metal fabrication, aerospace, defense, or a related industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and technical specifications preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
