HEPCO Inc. is seeking an Estimating Manager in Oklahoma City to independently manage commercial construction estimates, prepare bids, and coordinate subcontractor pricing. The role focuses on identifying cost-saving opportunities throughout preconstruction.

You will review drawings, develop scopes, solicit bids, and collaborate with operations and field teams to optimize methods and profitability. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in estimating are preferred.

We are seeking an Estimating Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK. This role will independently manage commercial construction estimates, prepare competitive bids and negotiated proposals, coordinate subcontractor pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities throughout preconstruction.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and material cost summaries.
• Review construction drawings and specifications and maintain accurate estimating records.
• Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids, ensuring adequate trade coverage and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate the distribution of plans and specifications to subcontractors and vendors.
• Incorporate project schedules, logistics, staging, and phasing into estimates.
• Assist with analysis of building components and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prepare bid-day summaries and general requirements estimates and participate in procurement presentations.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to develop economical construction methods.
• Track and document value engineering opportunities and prepare comprehensive estimating deliverables.
• Evaluate insurance structures, fees, and rates to identify opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal project teams.
• Provide training and mentorship to estimating staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of estimating experience; 5 or more years of total construction experience preferred.
• Commercial general contractor estimating and preconstruction experience.
• Ability to independently manage estimates, including takeoffs, pricing, and subcontractor bid coverage.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction methods, trade scopes, field operations, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to develop general requirements estimates.
• Familiarity with Lean construction principles.
• Ability to develop proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Salary: $101,150-$126,438 annually(Depending on experience and qualifications)
